The first step for all volunteers and employees is to complete Youth Protection 1. You can take Youth Protection 1 on-line anytime or attend one of the live sessions which are scheduled periodically.
The link below will take you to our new on-line training program. Allow at least two hours to complete the course. You can begin now and return to finish later. Be sure you note your user name and password.
The on-line course is available in English or Spanish.
When finished with the course print your certificate and give it to your parish/school leadership to prove you have done the training.
You must register at least 2 business days prior to the workshop you wish to attend
Bring your printed ticket or save it to your smart phone
On-time arrival and full workshop attendance is necessary for credit
Youth Protection 1 is a workshop for adults - please do not bring children
Your attendance at Youth Protection 1 is good for three years
Youth Protection 1 workshops are open to any interested adult
Live, On-line Youth Protection 2 Webinars
Youth Protection 2 Workshops are scheduled periodically. They live, on-line video webinars. You will need a computer or smart phone, camera, microphone and internet connection. You must complete registration before you will receive a password to the session.
All participants must have attended Youth Protection 1 prior to participating in Youth Protection 2.
Register at least 2 business days before the session.
Workshops are 1.5 hours long.
GROUP VIEW: Do you want to gather a group of people to view a Youth Protection 2 webinar together? You must:
Be a parish or school group
Have a person who will serve as proctor who certifies attendance and administers the forms and quizzes
Have a projector, screen and a way to amplify sound so everyone can see and hear the webinar
Register your group a minimum of 7 working days in advance of the webinar
